• Saturday Afternoon Rides

Saturday's at 12:15 from LeisureLakes Bikes Daventry.

With around 30 cyclists participating in our Saturday afternoon rides they are the perfect opportunity for anyone to experience group riding for the first time. Led by an experienced ride leader they take in the countryside and villages on the quiet b-roads surrounding Daventry.

Ridden at a beginner friendly pace (11 - 12mph) no-one gets left behind.

Starting and finishing at LeisureLakes why not arrive early or join us after the ride for a coffee and cake - every ride with DCC is a great chance to meet new people.

  • Saturday Morning Rides

Every Saturday, LeisureLakes Daventry at 09:00.

DCC's Saturday Morning rides provide the perfect progression for anyone who has been enjoying our 12:15 rides to push themselves over longer distances and a slightly faster pace. They're also a great ride for anyone who has been riding for a while but would an introduction to group riding.  Rides are typically 35 - 40 miles (slightly shorter in the winter) and ridden at a maximum 16mph or the pace of the slowest rider.

There are two groups: one slightly slower (13-14 mph) and led by an experience ride leader and one one slightly faster (16mph) ensuring everyone can find the group that is right for them. No-one gets left behind and, of course, this being DCC there's always the opportunity for a coffee and cake at the end!

  • Sunday Social

Every Sunday, LeisureLakes Daventry at 09:00.

A ride for members of all abilities, the Sunday club run is at the heart of every cycling club and DCC's is no exception. Meeting at 09:00 at LeisureLakes Daventry the ride is organised into three groups based on average speeds (13mph, 15mph and 18mph+) before heading out into the rolling Northamptonshire countryside for approximately 40 - 50 miles.

There's always the opportunity for a coffee stop at Leisure Lakes Bikes at the end of the ride so remember to bring some cash for a hot drink and a cake.

Non-members are welcome to join us but we do ask that if you wish to continue after your third ride that you become a club member - something we're sure that by that point you'll be keen to do anyway!!
